„Siewca się nie zniechęca” – Kongres Odnowy w Duchu Świętym w Gietrzwałdzie

The Metropolitan Congress of Renewal in the Holy Spirit brought together members from the Ełk and Elbląg dioceses and the Warmia Archdiocese in Gietrzwałd. Bishop Dariusz Zalewski of the Ełk Diocese presided over the Holy Mass and delivered the homily.

Bishop Zalewski used the parable of the sower to describe how God continuously plants his word in human hearts through mercy and patience. He noted that while hearts can act like rocky or thorny ground, the Holy Spirit works to transform them to better receive God's word. The bishop emphasized that faith requires daily prayer, the Eucharist, the word of God, and the sacrament of reconciliation rather than relying on temporary emotions from retreats or community meetings.

The gathering took place ahead of the 150th anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Gietrzwałd, which will be observed next year. The Holy Spirit Renewal Community from Olecko, based at the Holy Cross Sanctuary, provided the music for the congress.
