Sister Kathy Knipper serves in Catholic education

Sister Kathy Knipper has dedicated her ministry to Catholic education through various teaching and leadership roles.

She previously worked as an elementary teacher in Waterloo and Dubuque, Iowa. Sister Kathy later served as the Director of Curriculum for the Diocese of Sioux City, where she supported teachers across 24 counties in northwest Iowa. From 2001 to 2014, she worked as an associate professor of education at Briar Cliff University to mentor future teachers.

For the last twelve years, Sister Kathy has held elected leadership positions within the Sisters of St. Francis. As she celebrates her jubilee, the Sisters of St. Francis invited the public to send honors or notes of congratulations online.
