Škof Saje ob nedelji svetniških kandidatov: Vsi smo poklicani v Gospodov vinograd svetosti

Bishop Andrej Saje celebrated Mass on September 20, 2026, at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Ljubljana to mark the Sunday of Lay Candidates for the Ljubljana Metropolis. During his homily, Saje stated that holiness is a fundamental calling for every Christian rather than something reserved for exceptional individuals.

The celebration commemorated the 120th anniversary of the priestly ordination of Janez Frančišek Gnidovec at the church where his remains are located. Saje highlighted Gnidovec's prayer, simplicity, faithfulness to Christ, and service to the poor.

Saje encouraged the congregation to get to know local lay candidates, follow their examples, and ask for their intercession. He also urged the faithful to take their own calling to holiness seriously.
