Solidarität als Menschenpflicht

The Brunnenkirche in Erfurt will host a discussion on solidarity as a human duty on Wednesday, September 23, at 19:00. The event is part of the "Glaube trifft Philosophie" series, organized jointly by the Diocese of Erfurt and the Augustinerkonvent St. Martin.

The evening will examine the ideas of priest and philosopher Józef Tischner, specifically his ethics of solidarity. Tischner viewed solidarity as a concept rooted in the teachings of Jesus that does not require an enemy or opponent to exist. The discussion aims to use these philosophical and Christian perspectives to address the fragmentation of society into interest groups.
