German artist Philipp Creonink is presenting "Sounds of Loss" in the narthex of St. Peter's Basilica to mark the International Day of Peace on September 21. The sound installation features 1,096 individually recorded sounds played irregularly over 49 hours to represent each person killed in conflicts.
