St. Raymond’s Academy for Girls to Close at Conclusion of 2026–2027 Academic Year

St. Raymond’s Academy for Girls will permanently close at the end of the 2026–2027 academic year. The Church of St. Raymond announced the decision following prayerful discernment and consultation with trustees.

The parish determined it can no longer sustain the school because enrollment has remained at approximately half of its capacity. Rev. James Cruz, pastor of the Church of St. Raymond, said the decision was deeply difficult for the parish family.

The academy has operated as a ministry of the Church of St. Raymond since 1960. To help students continue their Catholic education, the parish is offering tuition assistance.
