St. Rose girls soccer team enjoying remarkable turn-around this season

The St. Rose High School girls soccer team has won seven of its first nine games this season, marking an improvement from its 3-16-1 record in 2025. The team has already secured the Shore Conference B Central division title.

First-year coach David Restiano said the team is aiming to win the Shore Conference and the state championship. Restiano, a St. Rose graduate, joined the staff alongside assistant Frank Gullace and holdover assistant Maria Rojas.

The team's success follows a move to a different division that provided a more competitive schedule. Most of the current players are underclassmen who are expected to return next year. The team holds a 7-2 record heading into an October 1 game against Keyport/Henry Hudson.
