Unicef reports drone attacks destroy 292,000 textbooks in Sudan's Kordofan

Drone attacks destroyed more than 292,000 textbooks and other educational materials in North Kordofan, Sudan, according to Unicef. The attacks targeted two warehouses in Shikan on September 20.

The destroyed items included 40,000 Arabic and mathematics review volumes. These materials were scheduled for distribution starting in October to schools in Um Dam, Bara, and West Bara. Unicef reported that the ongoing conflict has caused many children to lose years of schooling.
