Pope receives new bishops

Pope Leo XIV met with new bishops at the Vatican on Thursday, September 10, following their participation in a formation course organized by Vatican departments. Among the attendees was Pavol Šajgalík, OFM Cap.

During the meeting, the Pope told the new bishops that their ministry begins with a personal relationship with Christ, closeness to the people entrusted to them, and the heart of a good shepherd rather than with organizational tasks or duties. He also reminded them that no bishop walks alone.
