The good seed of “Wecare” Missionary Experiences/I - Young hearts and the encounter with reality

Wecare, an Italian missionary organization, continues its annual program of sending young people to work on projects in Italy and other countries. The initiative, which has operated for twenty years, encourages volunteers to leave their comfort zones to live and work alongside people in different cultural realities.

The organization began in 2005 when Fernando Lozada Baldoceda, the current director of Wecare, organized a volunteer trip to Peru with three university students. The program grew into a group in 2006 and established a legal framework in 2011. Wecare was officially founded in its current form in 2023.
