Father John Mitchell says a comedy routine about Little League baseball illustrates the message of this Sunday's Gospel.

Writing for the Catholic Herald, Father Mitchell describes a bit by comedian Brian Regan about playing outfield in baseball primarily to receive a free snow cone regardless of how much he played. Father Mitchell connects this story to the Gospel parable of laborers who receive the same daily wage despite working different amounts of time. He notes that the workers who labored from dawn until dusk grumbled when they discovered those hired for only one hour in the evening received the same denarius.
