The Price of Tea - How Parishes can become Faitrade

The Diocese of Motherwell is exploring how parishes can adopt Fairtrade practices to support producers in the developing world.

Eileen McQuade explains that ethical purchasing through Fairtrade can help ensure that profits from global sales of products like tea, coffee, and chocolate improve the living conditions of those who produce them. She notes that large multinational companies and middlemen often take most of the profits, leaving very little for the actual producers.
