The seed of the Gospel and mission: Archbishop Sangalli concludes the formation Course for bishops in Nemi with a meditation on St Charles de Foucauld

Archbishop Samuele Sangalli concluded a formation course for bishops in Nemi on September 19 with a homily focused on spiritual renewal and pastoral conversion. The course, which ran from September 13 to September 19 at the Ad Gentes Centre, was an experimental program organized by the Dicastery for Evangelization.

Twenty-one bishops from English-speaking African countries participated in the working sessions. All participants were ordained as bishops between 1999 and 2022.

During his homily, which coincided with the memorial of St. Januarius, Sangalli, who serves as the Adjunct Secretary of the Dicastery for Evangelization, spoke about the ongoing transformation of the baptized. He noted that the power of the Holy Spirit works from the moment of baptism to conform human nature to Christ, a process requiring the commitment of a person's entire life as a minister of the Gospel.
