The story of Jesus brings us together

The cast and crew of the television series The Chosen are filming the seventh and final season. During a visit to the set, actor Jonathan Roumie, who plays Jesus, prepared to film a scene at the empty tomb using prosthetic nail marks on his hands.

Roumie described filming the passion and death of Christ as the most intense and grueling experience of his career. He noted that the process felt like the most sacred part of his work. The sixth season of the series covers the final days of the earthly ministry of Jesus, including his passion and death on the cross.
