The World Still Needs Confession

The world continues to have a need for confession, according to Angie Allen in a piece for Catholic Exchange.

Allen uses the narrative of a novel set in Warsaw during the Nazi occupation of Poland to illustrate human struggle. The story follows Pawel, a bookstore owner, who risks his life to hide a Jewish teenager escaping from the Jewish Ghetto. While hiding in the bookstore attic, the religious youth organizes donated books into categories, such as a section he calls the borderlands, which he describes as the territory between wisdom and foolishness.
