Camino din România – porți deschise spre Europa took place in Timișoara on September 18 and 19, 2026, to promote the spiritual, cultural, and European significance of the Romanian Camino pilgrimage route. The event brought together pilgrims, representatives from project associations, and supporters of pilgrimage route development in Romania.

Elisabeta Turi, the western regional representative for the Asociația Prietenilor Camino de Santiago in Timișoara, organized the September 18 program. Father Gabriel Ciubotariu, the spiritual guide for the Camino de România, gave a lecture titled "The Spirituality of the Camino." He described the pilgrimage as an external route that can become an internal path toward Christ, where each step serves as an opportunity for prayer, reflection, and gratitude.

The program included live music by guitarist Lia Burg.
