A trailer has been released for the film Nacimiento, which depicts the life of Andrew Kim Dae-geon, the first Korean Catholic priest and martyr.

The 150-minute production follows the life of Kim, who was born in 1821 to noble Korean parents who had converted to Catholicism. The film covers his studies, his preparation for the priesthood, and his various roles as a missionary, navigator, and cartographer. It also portrays his travels and his efforts to open maritime routes.

Kim was canonized by Pope John Paul II in 1984 during the pontiff's visit to Korea. The film depicts the dangers he faced while attempting to spread the Catholic faith during a period of intense persecution against hidden Christian communities in Korea.
