US Judge orders Trump to reinstate CNN, MS NOW and Politico journalists’ access

A federal judge ordered the Trump administration to immediately restore White House access for journalists from CNN, MS NOW, and Politico.

Washington District Court Judge Timothy J. Kelly issued the ruling after granting a 14-day restraining order. The judge described the decision to bar these news organizations from the White House as unconstitutional. He also rejected arguments from the administration that revoking the journalists' credentials was necessary for national security.

The news organizations argued that the White House violated their constitutional right to due process by revoking their credentials without prior notice or an opportunity to respond. Judge Kelly noted in his Thursday morning decree that the news outlets have a high likelihood of winning their case.
