Mgr Jacques Habert presides over Mass at INSR-Caen

Bishop Jacques Habert presided over a Mass for the start of the academic year at the Institut Normand des Sciences Religieuses (INSR) in Caen on September 10. Bishop Grégoire Cador delivered the homily during the service, which was attended by approximately 200 teachers, students, and regular participants.

Bishop Habert addressed the audience regarding the decision to suspend the operations of the INSR starting in June 2027. He stated that the bishops made this decision with regret and expressed a desire to offer other formations for laypeople. He noted that an event will be organized next June to mark a different continuation and that current teachers will still be solicited.

The event included a diploma ceremony and a conference discussing the first encyclical of Pope Leo XIV, titled Magnifique humanité. The discussion featured Myriam Leguennec, Quentin Le Pluard, and Pascaline Lano.
