UNDA scholarships address pressing social and ethical challenges
The University of Notre Dame Australia is launching several new Higher Degree by Research scholarships to support studies into social and ethical issues. These programs aim to fund research that addresses real-world challenges and provides community benefits.
The scholarship suite includes an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander HDR Scholarship, which provides financial aid to Indigenous students to increase their representation and participation in the research community. Another opportunity, the Transformative Research HDR Scholarship in the Ethics of AI, will fund postgraduate research into the ethical development and use of emerging technologies. This scholarship is hosted by the university's new Centre for Technology and Human Futures to study how artificial intelligence affects human relationships, work, and education.
A third scholarship will support research into domestic, family, and sexual violence. This program operates through the NSW ACT Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Research Network, a collaboration involving 12 universities.
