Cardinal Marx blessed workers at the Paulaner tent on the Theresienwiese during a prayer service on Thursday evening. The event took place two days before the start of Oktoberfest and included several hundred people who work at the festival.

During the service, a brass band played Lobe den Herrn instead of a polka, and an altar with candles was placed on the stage. The Archbishop wished the workers enjoyment despite their stress.
