Vaticano da a conocer nuevas “peticiones sinodales”: laicos en visitas ad limina de obispos y acuerdos obligatorios religiosos-obispos

The Vatican has revealed new synodal proposals that include involving laypeople in the ad limina visits of bishops and requiring formal agreements between bishops and religious orders.

According to Zenit News Agency, the proposals suggest that ad limina visits be prepared alongside the local Church to ensure a dialogue that is not one-way. These visits would also undergo independent evaluation.

The guidelines also propose that bishops and religious orders establish agreements covering formation, gender parity, remunerations, and asset management. Other suggestions include appointing a delegate for consecrated life in every diocese and using shared criteria to discern new institutes.
