Diocese of L’Aquila to host “Le pietre raccontano” conference on September 24, 2026

The Diocese of L’Aquila will host the sixth meeting of the "Le pietre raccontano" conference series on September 24, 2026. The event begins at 17.00 at the Istituto Superiore di Scienze Religiose “Fides et Ratio” in L’Aquila.

The conference focuses on L’Aquila as the Italian Capital of Culture 2026. Speakers include Massimo Sericola and Raffaele Daniele, the deputy mayor of L’Aquila. Archbishop Antonio D’Angelo and Daniele Pinton will host the meeting, which professor Gianluigi Simone will moderate.

The discussion will address how the reconstruction of historical and artistic heritage can foster knowledge and participation following a historic seismic event. The meeting also examines the "L’Aquila città multiverso" project, which links culture to social cohesion, innovation, and environmental sustainability.
