Vignarca: «Se vuoi la pace prepara istituzioni di pace”

The Giro d’Italia per la pace has reached its 103rd stop in Civitavecchia to promote a culture and politics of peace. Organized by the PerugiAssisi Foundation, the event coincides with the United Nations International Day of Peace.

Activities in Civitavecchia began on September 20 with a reception at the town hall and recreational activities. On September 21, the program includes a procession involving schools and associations, followed by a conference at the municipal headquarters.

Francesco Vignarca, the campaign coordinator for the Rete italiana Pace e Disarmo, stated that these stops aim to stimulate local areas because peace is built starting from local needs. He noted that the goal is to bridge the gap between the local and global dimensions.
