Vineland’s faithful celebrate St. Padre Pio

Bishop Joseph Williams joined the community at Our Lady of Pompeii Church in Vineland for an annual festival honoring St. Padre Pio. The celebration, which took place on Sept. 20, coincided with the days leading up to the saint's feast day on Sept. 23.

The festival included Mass, confessions, prayers, and a procession featuring a statue of Padre Pio. Parishioners also participated in games and shared food. For over 20 years, the faithful of Saint Padre Pio Parish have held this event to honor the saint for whom the parish is named. Pastor Father Joseph Ganiel and other clergy joined the Bishop and the community for the festivities.
