Visit the Archbishop’s Curia this coming Sunday
The public is invited to visit the Archbishop’s Curia in Floriana this Sunday, 18 October 2026, as part of the Ġenna ta’ Ġonna event. The visit includes access to the crypt and the chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Manresa. Archbishop Charles Scicluna will lead a Mass in the chapel at 9:30am, followed by a second Mass led by Bishop Joseph Galea-Curmi at 12pm.
Visitors can view the Refectory hall, which features paintings by Sicilian artist Pasquale Leonetti depicting biblical scenes involving food. The hall also contains depictions of St. Paul arriving on the island and the Triumph of the Lamb of God. A documentary titled Ismi, Manresa will show the history of the building, which was founded by Jesuit Pier Francesco Rosignoli as a retreat house and has previously served as a military hospital, a seminary, a boys’ school, and a law court.
