Archdiocese of Tunis visits Diocese of Mazara del Vallo

A delegation from the Archdiocese of Tunis visited the Diocese of Mazara del Vallo in Sicily from August 27 to 31. The group, which included Bishop Nicolas, Father Jacques, Sister Laura, Sister Jessy, and a member of the twinning team, met with the Mazara twinning committee and visited various ecclesial communities within the diocese.

The visit marks a reciprocal exchange in a twinning relationship between the two dioceses that will soon celebrate 30 years. While Sicilian faithful have traditionally visited Tunisia once or twice a year, this trip allowed the Tunis delegation to engage in dialogue and experience the local culture and natural landscape of the region.

The Archdiocese of Tunis stated that the partnership serves to encourage mutual growth in faith and ecclesial life. The twinning aims to help both dioceses face shared challenges through cooperation and dialogue.
