Vocação ao Ministério de Catequistas

Cardinal Orani João Tempesta, the Archbishop of Rio de Janeiro, marked the National Catechist Day on the last Sunday of August to recognize the vocation of those called to the ministry of catechists.

The Archbishop noted that the role of a catechist extends beyond preparing children for their first Eucharist. The observance coincides with the vocational month in the Church.
