Berlin Archbishop Heiner Koch has called on residents in Berlin and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern to vote in the upcoming state elections. In a contribution released ahead of its broadcast on the radio station rbb 88.8, Koch stated that democracy relies on participation rather than resignation.

The archbishop said it is essential for people to use their voices, express their opinions, and take responsibility by participating in the elections. He described elections as the heart of democracy.
