We are one in the mission of Christ, Bishop Nelson tells students

The Newman Catholic College community donated $11,353 to support agencies assisted by LifeLink. Auxiliary Bishop Nelson Po accepted the funds on behalf of Perth Archbishop Timothy Costelloe SDB during a presentation at the college's Champagnat Chapel.

The donation contributes toward a $130,000 goal set by Archbishop Costelloe for 2026 to fund LifeLink supported agencies. Bishop Nelson told students the contribution demonstrates Catholic values and compassion in action. He encouraged the students to continue supporting the archdiocese through friendship and shared responsibility.

Stuart McClorey, the director of mission and Catholic identity at Newman College, noted that the school's spirit reflects the philosophy of Marist Brothers founder Marcellin Champagnat, who actively helped those in need.
