Winners announced and applications invited for B.J. Hickey Scholarship Program

The Centre for Faith Enrichment announced the 2026 recipients of the B.J. Hickey Scholarship Program during the recent 50th anniversary celebration of the center. The scholarship, which supports the study of Scripture, was established through the vision of Archbishop Emeritus Barry Hickey’s Biblical Foundation for the faithful of the Perth Archdiocese.

The 2026 recipients include Diane Avice and Sandra Wibawanta, who will both undertake a Diploma of Theology at the University of Notre Dame. Maureen Crofts will study the Old Testament and the Pentateuch as part of a Bachelor in Theology at the same university. Andrea Carlos will participate in the Special Religious Development Program in Fatima, Portugal. John Topliss will receive funds to help cover travel costs for 15 students traveling to Ireland for Scripture Studies to fulfill requirements for a masters degree through the Catholic Institute and the University of Notre Dame.
