Women’s ministry inspires Bondi parish
About 20 women aged between their 20s and 60s completed a nine week ministry program at St Anne’s Church in Bondi. The Full of Grace: Women and the Abundant Life program concluded on 8 September, the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The program, created by Johnnette Williams and distributed in Australia by Parousia Media, uses readings, group discussions, workbook exercises, and video presentations to affirm the dignity of women as daughters of God. Participants explored scripture, Church teaching, femininity, and female saints, using the Blessed Virgin Mary as a model for discipleship.
Parishioner and facilitator Giulia Mezzapica said parish priest Fr Anthony Robbie encouraged her to run the course. Mezzapica noted that the program helped women explore how their feminine gifts can draw them closer to Christ.
