Bishop Tomasz Sztajerwald led a Mass to open the 24th Diocesan Meeting of the Liturgical Service on Saturday, September 19, at the Seminary of the Diocese of Warszawa-Praga. Approximately 1,700 people from 70 parishes attended the gathering, which included altar servers, lectors, choir members, and their pastoral leaders and caregivers.

During his homily, Bishop Sztajerwald warned that improper use of smartphones, the internet, and social media can cause people to lose their time and freedom. He compared digital distractions to weeds that choke good seeds, noting that notifications, games, and social media sites compete for human attention every day. The bishop encouraged the youth to use their time to develop talents, build relationships, and meet God rather than losing it to unrecoverable digital distractions. He also stated that freedom is a task and warned that misuse of technology can lead to addiction.
