Young Australians Invited to Cambodia Mission as part of WYD2027

Catholic Mission is inviting Australian youth groups, parishes, dioceses, and schools to participate in a mission trip to Cambodia from July 27 to August 1, 2027. This mission exposure trip serves as a pre-World Youth Day experience for pilgrims traveling to the Republic of Korea for the main event starting August 3.

The six day trip, which has the endorsement of the Bishops Conference in Cambodia, allows participants to encounter the faith and culture of local communities. According to The Record, the program focuses on meeting Cambodian youth to share faith experiences and observe how young people live out their mission in a different cultural context.

Hundreds of young people are expected to join the trip before continuing their pilgrimage to World Youth Day 2027. The program aligns with the theme, Take courage! I have overcome the world (Jn 16:33).
