Young Voices Reimagine the Future of Tourism at MoCA’s ‘Tales Beyond Time’
The Museum of Christian Art (MoCA) hosted the fourth edition of the Tales Beyond Time elocution competition to mark World Tourism Day. Held in collaboration with the Goa State Chapter of INTACH, the event invited young speakers to discuss how digital technology and artificial intelligence might reshape the travel industry.
The competition featured two categories. Students in classes 9 to 12 spoke on whether artificial intelligence can assist global exploration without causing harm, while college and university students addressed how artificial intelligence can redesign tourism for a smarter future. These topics prompted participants to examine the links between technology, sustainability, and responsible travel.
More than 60 students registered for the preliminary round, resulting in 20 finalists selected to compete. A panel of judges, including artificial intelligence researcher Gilbert Anthony Mendes, anchor Myra D’Costa, and Drishti Group Vice President Savio Mathias, evaluated the participants on their ability to address environmental and social concerns through the lens of technology.
