ZAMBIA: Bishop Chisanga Urges Confirmed Christians to Live out their Faith

Bishop Patrick Chilekwa Chisanga administered the Sacrament of Confirmation to 60 people at St. John Bosco Parish in Kazembe, Mwansabombwe District, on September 20, 2026.

During the celebration, Bishop Chisanga told the newly confirmed to show the fruits of the Holy Spirit through love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, and gentleness. He encouraged young people to make responsible decisions to strengthen their faith and become productive members of society. He specifically advised youths to avoid shortcuts in marriage, follow Church procedures, and wait until they are mature and prepared rather than yielding to pressure.

The Bishop of Mansa Diocese also called on the faithful to work hard in farming to use available land and water resources to reduce poverty. He told the congregation to follow the yearly pastoral theme of Rebuilding the Church by maintaining an unshaken faith despite earthly challenges.
