ZAMBIA: Strathmore University Champions Ethical Enterprise as Zambia's Sisters Blended Value Project Marks Historic Milestones

Strathmore University Secretary Anthony Kahindi encouraged Zambian entrepreneurs to expand their businesses beyond national borders during the Annual Zambia Social Entrepreneurship and SME Conference and Expo 2026. The event, held in Lusaka on September 10, 2026, concluded under the Sisters' Blended Value Project with a focus on building financial resilience and market readiness for small and medium enterprises.

The conference brought together Catholic sisters, commercial banks, impact investors, government stakeholders, and business owners to discuss ethical leadership and local solutions for continental challenges. Speaking for Strathmore University, Kahindi traced the institution's history to a 1950s request from Bishop Mojaisky, the Apostolic Delegate of the Holy See in Kenya, who asked Saint Josemaría Escrivá to send missionaries to Africa. This request led to the first missionaries arriving in Kenya in 1958 and the eventual establishment of Strathmore in 1961.
