The Diocese of Pelplin plans to renovate and repurpose the cloisters at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary to create new educational, cultural, and tourist spaces. The project aims to protect the historic complex in Pelplin and transform it into a modern meeting place for residents, tourists, and pilgrims through architectural and digital improvements.

Construction and conservation work will focus on the cloisters, narthex, scriptorium, and garth. These efforts include repairing architectural damage caused by moisture, salt, and wall cracks, as well as repairing plaster and floors. The work intends to strengthen the building structures and stop ongoing degradation of the site.
