Dominic Preziosi described his personal experience working in a midtown Manhattan office during the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Writing for Commonweal, Preziosi recalled seeing a wedge-shaped gash in the north tower of the World Trade Center from his thirty-first floor office. He noted that after seeing the damage to the north tower, a fireball erupted from the south tower around 9 a.m. He and several coworkers watched the towers burn and collapse over the course of ninety minutes as reports emerged regarding the Pentagon and a plane crash in Pennsylvania.
