Diocese of San Miniato reopens Santuario della Madonna di San Romano

The Diocese of San Miniato reopened the Sanctuary of Our Lady of San Romano for worship on Sunday, September 6. Vicar General Monsignor Roberto Pacini presided over the Holy Mass that preceded the public ceremony.

The sanctuary had been closed for several months to allow for major consolidation work and the restoration of the decorative plaster and stucco on the domes and vaults. These repairs followed an incident four years ago when one of the rose windows fell during a Mass.
