Almada: «Super-horta» produz 300 alfaces por mês «alimentadas» por peixes

The São Francisco Xavier Parish in Caparica, Almada, is developing a sustainable organic farming project called Super-horta, Aquaponia num contentor. The project uses a container to grow crops through aquaponics, a method where fish provide nutrients to the plants.

The system currently produces 300 heads of lettuce per month. Organizers intend for the project to assist the local community and hope to replicate the model in various missions.
