APELCAMI holds a candlelight vigil to commemorate the 7th anniversary of the death of Mgr. John Philip Saklil, the first bishop of Timika. The event was held at Bundaran Timika Indah, Kabupaten Mimika, Papua Tengah. Mgr. Saklil was known for being close to the people, the poor, and the community of Papua.
