The Archdiocese of Rio de Janeiro reached a milestone of 300 parishes following the canonical creation of Nossa Senhora Aparecida Parish in Cidade de Deus on September 5.

Cardinal Orani Tempesta, the archbishop of Rio de Janeiro, installed the new parish during a Mass. During the ceremony, the cardinal also installed Father Gabriel Alves as the new pastor.
