Au terme du congrès de l’APECA, les exégètes appellent à défendre la dignité humaine

Catholic biblical scholars at the 22nd congress of the Association panafricaine des exégètes catholiques (APECA) called for the defense of human dignity during their meeting in Bonoua, in the diocese of Grand-Bassam, Côte d’Ivoire. The congress concluded on September 6.

Participants studied the relationship between the Bible and human dignity, specifically addressing violence, slavery, and human trafficking. Bishop Jacques Assanvo Ahiwa, president of APECA, said the discussions sought to connect the Word of God with the current challenges facing Africa.
