Bishop Giorgio Barbetta, the apostolic administrator of the Diocese of Huari, presided over the blessing and inauguration of the Saint Mary Mother of God Chapel in Huachucocha. Located at more than 4,400 meters above sea level within the Tahsta peasant community, the chapel was built to honor the memory of Father Hugo de Censi.

The ceremony brought together priests, catechists, volunteers, and pilgrims traveling from various coastal and highland parishes. The chapel features an ovoid shape with a maximum length of 15 meters. According to Bishop Barbetta, this specific dimension refers to August 15, the feast of Mama Ashu. The site sits on the border between the provinces of Huari and Carlos Fermín Fitzcarrald.
