Betty Contino dies at 81

Betty Contino, the longtime chairwoman and chief executive officer of the Women’s Education Alliance, died August 31 at age 81.

Through her leadership at the Women’s Education Alliance, Contino helped thousands of students attend Catholic schools within the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Her work also included supporting teachers, school leaders, and the general needs of the schools she served.
