Sebastian Cardinal Francis attended the annual general assembly of PAS in Kota Bharu to mark a milestone in Muslim-Christian relations. The visit, organized by PAS activist Abdul Rahman Kassim, established communication between the Church and top party figures.

Kassim, 70, has spent two decades working to build harmony between Islamists and Catholic communities in the north through cultural visits, shared meals, and dialogue. He invited the cardinal to the assembly to conclude his outreach efforts before the prelate reaches the mandatory retirement age.
