Cardinal Cupich sues Illinois over assisted suicide law

Cardinal Blase J. Cupich of Chicago, two orders of Catholic nuns, and an Illinois pharmacist sued Illinois over the state's physician-assisted suicide law. The law permits physicians to aid terminally ill adults in dying by suicide. The state recently began allowing doctors to help patients kill themselves by prescribing lethal doses of medication.
