Church Action on Poverty Sunday, 18 October

Churches can prepare for Church Action on Poverty Sunday on 18 October by using new resource packs and registering for the event. The national ecumenical charity, Church Action on Poverty, has released online materials to help congregations participate through prayer, action, and donations to help end poverty in the UK.

This year's theme is "Food, Faith and Fellowship." The available resource packs include worship materials, prayer cards, scriptural reflections, activity sheets, and ideas for bring and share lunches. The materials also feature stories about churches working to address food insecurity.

More than 120 churches have already registered for the event. Church Action on Poverty has supported and equipped churches for over 40 years by coordinating programs to tackle social injustice.
