Community kitchen serves up dignity, belonging and hope

The Kelmscott Community Kitchen serves up to 70 people every Wednesday, providing meals and a space for community connection. The food relief initiative has operated for four years, offering a place for people to meet without judgment.

Attendees include single parents, young families, older residents, and people experiencing homelessness. Ann Curran, the CEO of Vinnies WA, recently joined the volunteers and members at the kitchen to help serve meals. After each service, the team packages leftover food to distribute to others in the community.
